Set up Zoom once
Four checkboxes in your Zoom account, then every cloud recording comes out as separate camera, screen and audio files — exactly what LessonCut needs.
- 01
Open Zoom settings
zoom.us → Settings → Recording → Cloud recording (on).
- 02
Record separately
Tick “Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately”, then tick Active speaker and Shared screen under it.
- 03
Keep the mixed backup
Tick “Record active speaker with shared screen” as well. If the separate files ever fail, LessonCut can use this one.
- 04
Audio and quality
Tick “Optimize the recording for 3rd party video editor” and “Separate audio file of each participant”. Under Meeting, turn on HD video.
- 05
Record to the cloud
In the class: Record → Record to the Cloud, camera on, share your screen. Each start/stop makes one recording block = one lesson.
- 06
Then
Connect Zoom in Settings (Creator plan) and the lesson appears here by itself — or download Speaker view, Shared screen and Audio only from the recording page and upload them.
Zoom's cloud camera is 640×360 unless Zoom support enables 1080p cloud recording for your account. It looks fine in the camera card and acceptable when big.
